Counseling for lgbtqia+ folx.
Living authentically as an LGBTQIA+ individual is a powerful journey, but it can also come with its unique set of challenges (especially in the South). Whether you're dealing with societal expectations, complex family dynamics, or looking to find a community, these challenges can sometimes feel overwhelming. Therapy is not about changing who you are, but about supporting you in being yourself while navigating the complexities of identity, relationships, and life in a region where cultural and social norms are restrictive.
I offer affirming, inclusive therapy for LGBTQIA+ folx who are seeking a safe, nonjudgmental space to explore their experiences and the way they navigate the world. My approach is rooted in a deep respect for your identity, recognizing that your mental health and well-being are shaped by who you are and the context in which you live. It’s important to have a space where you can express yourself fully and work through the complexities of navigating a world that doesn’t always understand or embrace you.
Whether you're dealing with coming out, facing discrimination, coping with family or community rejection, or seeking guidance on relationships and self-acceptance, therapy can help you cultivate resilience, confidence, and inner peace (perhaps some whimsy, too). I’m here to help you process your experiences and move forward with clarity, so you can thrive as your authentic self.
Finally, a note on conversion “therapy”: I do not and will not offer it. It is unethical, and it is harmful. Period.
