Counseling for attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (adhd).

Living with ADHD often feels like having 54 tabs open in your mental web browser, but the computer is frozen on a cat video, a podcast discussing all of your to-dos is playing somewhere, and the keyboard has suddenly disappeared.

The challenges of managing time, staying organized, following through, and focusing on what matters can feel overwhelming. But it doesn’t have to be this way. In our work together, I’ll help you strengthen your executive function skills while developing self-compassion (gotta figure out how to give ourselves a freaking break).

I specialize in helping individuals with ADHD by addressing the unique challenges tied to executive functioning: the mental processes that help you plan, prioritize, organize, and complete tasks. These skills are often disrupted in ADHD, but with the right tools and support, you can enhance your ability to manage them effectively and reduce feelings of frustration and overwhelm.

However, we’re not only going to focus on the “getting stuff done”. I believe in the power of self-compassion as a cornerstone of this work. ADHD can often bring up negative self-talk, guilt, and frustration with your perceived "failures" or struggles. ADHD can also really put a strain on our abilities to be a good partner, friend, and community member. Together, we will challenge these narratives, replacing them with a more compassionate and realistic understanding of your experience. ADHD doesn’t define your worth, and it's important to recognize and honor your strengths, even as we work on the areas that feel more difficult.
